  • I picked up a 1978 200 a while ago, for no other purpose other than I was bored and needed a road-trip to New Jersey.
  • The head has been cleaned and no cracks found. It is sitting on a shelf, partially pocket ported ... (for sale soon)
  • The block has not been inspected yet. It is sitting on an engine stand. Assume it's good and can be bored.
  • Also assume it's going in my 65 Mustang Coupe. My HP goal is... about 400ish
  • Reply with your suggestions/ideas on the Carb/EFI, Ignition, Pistons, Cam, AL Head?, Tranny, Reardiff, Exhaust, Turbo???

This post is made 1 yr after project completion. It was not an exercise but a real life
attempt to develop a motor. VI heads (ci & vi together may have made ~ 200 cast/sold)
are not in production at this time.

-as I read the "title page" to this thread in some ways it is all I need to make a tester (of course @ 10K$
some will wanna C the data/choices made to get to this 'parts sheet', so...

Have all these items been documented as available (yes, I C notes that some can B supplied w/plenty notice)?
But there are no "may be"? or unavailable?

Has anyone on here heard about this company in Argentina? Unfortunately, I do not speak Spanish, but I still find this interesting. This company has developed a four valve OHC alloy cylinder head for the Ford 221SP engine, Chevrolet 250 and a Dodge six cylinder for Turismo Carretera racing.

Search for Argentina - I believe there is a member importing or trying to import these parts?

big following there (Argie & Venesuala). If U ask me I’ll telll ya (fact or fiction) “Those R not for street use. Must B certified race team to run.” Even worse chance for export?

that does NOT mean we should not study and copy...
