More new(er) Gm inlines. Anyone drive one?

Rented a Trailblazer for 1 week vacation 3 years ago. The long wheel base TB with me and my wife in it.

On hills north of metro Phoenix the vehicle would not maintain posted speed limits in 3rd gear , the automatic would drop to 2nd gear and really buzz the engine.

The Trailblazers (2 of them both 6cyl) we rented in Hawaii were gutless, could be a rental de-tune though. The Jeep we rented in HI wasn't the greatest either (4.0/6cyl), but at least it was a convertible! After we bought out Equinox I drove a Crew Cab Colorado (5cyl) it had lots of zip.

had a friend buy a colorado
went back to the dealership less than a few weeks later with a check engine light.
the dealership told him he needed a new engine.
he gave the truck back and went out and bought a hemi ram.
thats about all i know of the chevy I5.

I have a 5 cylinder in a 2004 gmc Canyon. It delivers 26 to 29 mpg.
(depends on idle time and ac time) any day of the week, goes 128 mph
in the mile (ecta-lsr record holder D/PMP) tows my ranchero on a
open trailer to and from Hamilton Ont.-Maxton N.C. with ease. In my
opinion this is the best small pickup bar none. Thats my 2 cents worth.
Paul.
