Electric future

Well, I have seen the future and it's electric, not just the cars, but the turbos too. The May 2021 HotRod has a long article on the current status of E-turbos.
These aren't the E-bay " turbos", the current F1 cars are using E-turbos to boost acceleration. The current crop of F1 engines are 97.5 cid and make 1000 hp.
There appear to be several versions of how to use an E-turbo.
One is to use a right-sized max hp conventional turbo and add an E-turbo to build full boost sooner. Like 1 sec vs 4.5 sec.
The 1/4 mile guys would use a battery pack and just run the E-turbo and use a generator in your pits to recharge the battery between runs.
The F1 dudes are using a motor-generator on the turbo to recharge batteries to run power boost traction motors and spin up the turbo faster.
MBZ will debut a street car based on its F1 engine in 2021, they will build 275 cars @$ 2,720,000 ea. To help everyone sleep and so you don't have to worry about selling your Falcon to find the $$$, all the cars are presold. "Normal" street use will see units around 2023.
P.S the F1 units use 800v and the normal street units will use 48v
