Slade, the performance differences that you will see TBI vs TPI vs SEFI vs garden hose is not enough to worry about, IMNSHO. Think of the simplicity of bolting a TBI unit on an existing carb mount. Timing the pulses is not longer an issue. Mounting injectors is not an issue. First attempt, I'd go with a TBI unit, and then progress if the TBI does not tickle you.
