Hello Everyone. I have completed the autolite 1100 install on my ‘65 mustang and am getting ready to start it up. Just a few questions before I do so:
1.) In the Calibration Wizard, there is a screen for setting the Target Idle Speed. I am running the 200 ci engine. I am not exactly sure what to set it at. The picture in the user manual is showing it at 650. I know that with the carburetor, for me, 650 would be too low. Any suggestions as to what value I should set the idle speed?
2.) Also, the instructions say that the system only goes into learning mode once the engine temperature has reached 160 F. Years ago, I replaced the thermostat from a 192 down to a 180 to deal with some issues. I believe the stock thermostat for this engine is a 192. Should I go back to the 192 now that I am running the EFI or should it be fine to leave the 180 in there?
