200 lifter probs.

I just rebuilt my 65 200 about 50 miles ago and some of the lifters want stop tapping. The machine shop said that the cam that was in the engine was fine to reuse, I had the head rebuilt (sufaced, 3angle valve job)
I installed new lifters, while the engine is warm about 3 lifters tap, I can rev the engine and hold it for a moment then let it go back to idle, the lifters stay quiet for about 2 mins. then start tapping again.
Any suggestions
By the way I have readjusted the lifters about 3 times and it starts all over again

I wonder if you might have a clogged oiling circuit to some of the lifters.

No, all the lifters does not tap
I do not have a oil pressure gauge just the warning light but I am going to install 1 soon

Don't see how an oil passage can be clogged since I had the block vatted and rinsed and the head allso but I guess it could happen Hmmm.

Unless there is a flaw in the lifters and they arent pumping up I cant think of another idea.

Have you coverted to adjustable rocker arms yet? Have you milled the head? Are the valve installed heights all the same and in spec?
