Hello, i am curious about something on your 144 inline. i noticed on the side view picture, to the left of the distributor it appears a pipe is coming out of the block? Is that something specific to the 144s?

That's a downdraft tube to vent blowby gas to the grount; pre-PCV.

Hi, Farleyman I’m not able to answer that with certainty. It appears it is stock though. I can’t see where they’re have been any modifications to the engine. I rechecked how to identify the difference between the 144 and 170 and by all indications it is a 144 cubic inch Ford engine.

Hello, are you still offering up the motor? i’ve come across an MG project. I would love to drop that engine in if it’s still available. I live in North Carolina, but I’ll be in Bowling Green Kentucky in September. I’m coming out there for LS fest for three days and could grab it while I’m there. Thanks Dennis

Is it standard or automatic? How much would you like for it?

It is the Ford Ford-o-matic 2 speed automatic transmission and it mates to the 144 without any modification. It was working when we pulled it out of the car.
I would trade you for a passenger side windshield wiper arm for a 64 Ford Falcon.

Farleyman, I was given another automatic transmission from tge people I bought the falcon from. I have no idea what transmission it is. I will send you some pictures that I took. if you want it you are welcome to it also. I want these antique parts to be used and not junked. Let me know, Mark
